A nonprofit group received a chunk of money through the National Endowment of the Arts to improve my neighborhood. They decided to build the Wtf Parklet.
Wtf parklet has been removed in anticipation of house-building on the property. This new construction will add to Virginia-based landlord Maurice Slaughter's disproportionate ownership of rental homes in the Bywater neighborhood. He has routinely threatened tenants with eviction, failed to make basic repairs, and harassed neighbors into selling their properties to them. Where y'at, St. Claude Main Street?
